Britons Largely Identify as “Anti-Trump”

(MENAFN) A significant majority of Britons describe themselves as “anti-Trump,” highlighting stark political contrasts in attitudes toward US President Donald Trump, according to fresh YouGov polling released on Monday.

Approximately two-thirds of the population (67%) reported being anti-Trump, with 56% identifying as strongly anti-Trump.

In comparison, only 13% characterized themselves as pro-Trump, while 16% stated they are neither supportive nor opposed to the current US president.

Support for Trump varies considerably among followers of the UK's main political parties. Large proportions of Liberal Democrat (89%), Labour (85%), and Green (82%) supporters expressed anti-Trump views, as did 61% of Conservative voters.

Supporters of the far-right Reform UK party stand out as an exception. Just 24% of Reform UK backers described themselves as anti-Trump, while nearly half (46%) indicated they are pro-Trump.

The survey also explored public perceptions of how British political parties align with the US president. Reform UK is viewed as the party most closely linked to Trump, with seven in ten Britons (70%) seeing Nigel Farage’s party as pro-Trump, contrasted with only 8% who considered it neutral or critical.
